Crown supplies FM Logistic with forklift trucks compatible with fuel cells
Thursday, May 7, 2015Description :
As a partner of the Crown electric truck manufacturer, Aprolis is proud to participate in the innovative fuel cell truck project currently being tested at FM Logistic.

Crown, one of the world's largest handling equipment companies, is supporting the French logistics company FM Logistic by facilitating the adoption of fuel cells in its fleet of forklifts.
This initiative is part of the HAWL project (Hydrogen And Warehouse Logistics), funded by the European Commission.

Crown collaborated with Air Liquide, a producer and supplier of industrial gases, and HyPulsion, a joint venture between Axane (an Air Liquide subsidiary) and Plug Power, a fuel cell supplier, to supply FM Logistic with five forklift trucks compatible with Fuel cells.
Through its French distributor, Aprolis S.A.S., Crown supplied its ESR 5200 series mast forklifts and WT 3000 powered pallet trucks designed to be powered by fuel cells.
"Our participation as a major partner in the FM Logistic fuel cell evaluation project is an example of Crown's efforts to support its customers' initiatives in this area. We help them determine if this technology can be integrated into their fleets and facilities, and how to do it, "says Richard de Graaf, Director of Major Accounts at Crown Equipment.
The HAWL project brings together leading companies in the fields of fuel cell technology, forklift trucks, hydrogen distribution and intralogistics.
The aim of the project is to demonstrate the competitiveness, technical maturity and user acceptance of forklift trucks powered by fuel cells in an intralogistics environment. The project is currently helping the European handling industry to carry out the first deployments of fuel cell technology in this sector.
