These side carriages with lateral battery exit, electrical direction and a new operational concept were presented to the international public of CeMAT 2008.

Jungheinrich will launch two new ranges of electric front forklift trucks on the market this summer. .

These new electric front trolleys are the spearheads of the EFG 213-220 (3 wheels) and 316-320 (4 wheels) ranges that will be launched on the market this summer. The forks are capable of lifting loads up to 2,000 kg at a lifting height of up to 6,500 mm. The maximum speed of these trolleys is 17 km / h.

Thanks to Jungheinrich's latest generation of three-phase, environmentally-friendly asynchronous motors, these electric front-end trucks offer excellent performance while consuming little energy consistently. These low energy costs are still significantly reduced thanks to the additional energy recovered during braking. As a result, the battery no longer needs to be changed after two / eight.

Jungheinrich has developed a professional battery management system for single and two / eight operation. Due to the opening of the side door, it becomes simple to recharge the battery or put water back in at the end of the working time. The battery can be removed for side maintenance operations with a pallet truck locked in the up position. Locking the battery prevents unauthorized movement.

The electrical direction used for the first time ensures a comfortable maneuvering of the trolley. It also offers much more leg room at knee height due to the removal of hydraulic components. The steering column itself is adjustable in height and inclination so that the driver can adjust it as desired.

Jungheinrich's new electric front loaders benefit from a totally new operational concept with the choice of SOLO or MULTI PILOT integrated in an armrest adjustable in height and length. The SOLO PILOT is equipped with control levers which are operated with one fingertip and which are engraved in the hydraulic operating components together with the travel direction button.

The MULTI PILOT with all the operational components integrated in a joystick has also been totally redesigned for these two ranges. The driver can choose between 5 individual programs. The trolley is thus adjustable in a customized way for almost all applications.

The "floating cabin" is a work station suspended above the chassis. It absorbs shocks caused by uneven floors. The result is a low level of vibration for the benefit of the operator.

The EFG 213-220 or 316-320 are robust in construction. A closed chassis even under the battery has greatly improved the stability of the truck. The excellent resistance in the inclined position of the EFG 316-320 comes from the fully floating steering axle. The natural pendulum movement of the trolley is reduced by the high suspension of the axle in the counterweight.
