New paint process specific to Genie® scissors

As part of its continuous improvement plan at the Coventry plant in the United Kingdom, Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), a division of the Terex Group (NYSE: TEX), has invested heavily in a new Painting process for its Genie GS ™ -1530, -1532, -1930, -1932, -2632, -2032, -2046, -2646, -3246 and GS ™ -4047 electric scissors production line.

This paint process meets strict Terex painting standards. All Terex® products must meet these standards, but several processes are applied according to product specifications, product line, region, and other factors.

Improvements to the paint process include not only a new wash treatment to prepare material prior to application of the paint, and paint to higher standards. The main technical advantages of this new process are: durability, better finish, improved paint adhesion, and superior rust protection.
